Create an Adorable Twitter Bird Holding a FollowMe Sign

Almost everyone nowadays has a twitter account. If you have a twitter account, then you will need a twitter bird.
This tutorial will show you how to create a vector twitter bird using basic shapes.
We will be using some primary shapes like circle, triangle and rectangle.

Step 1

Draw a circle. Drag the ellipse tool diagonally and press ctrl key to get a perfect circle.

Select the circle, press F11 to go to Fountain fill box.

Choose #00CCFF and #0F6594 to fill the circle. It should look something like the image below

Step 2

Make a copy of the circle. Reduce its size a bit, fill it with white, remove outline.

Now select transparency tool and make the white circle transparent.

Step 3

Draw another white circle. Place it a little higher. Hold down Ctrl while dragging it, this will constrain the movement.

Add transparency as shown.

Step 4

Now we will make wings. Take an ellipse. Select pick tool (its the first tool in the toolbox, it looks like an arrow). Click on the ellipse now we have entered the rotate and skewing mode.

Move the center of the ellipse to the corner as shown.

Rotate and copy. press Ctrl + r to repeat "rotate and copy step".

Select all three ellipse and weld them.

Smoothen the corner node.

Step 5

Step 1: Fountain fill the wing with #0F6594 and #00CCFF.

Step 2: Make a copy of the wing with reduced size. Fill it with white color.

Step 3: Make the white wing transparent as shown in the image below.

Step 6

Select the blue wing and the white wing. Press Ctrl+g, this will group them. Now mirror the wing.

To mirror a shape: Select the object, hold down Ctrl and drag a selection handle to the opposite side of the object.
After mirroring, place the wing on the right side.

Now select both wings and press Shift + Page Down. This will bring them behind the body of the bird.

Step 7

Now we will draw the eyes....I have explained it in 5 steps.

Step 1: Take circle, Fountain fill with #0D74A4 and #FFFFFF (white).

Step 2: Give it transparency.

Step 3: Make another circle fill it with black.

Step 4: Draw one more circle over the black circle. Fill it with white and add transparency to it.

Step 5: Draw 2 small circle of white color. Again same thing, make them half-transparent.
